Four-year OBGYN residency program with focused rotations, electives and leadership rotation to prepare residents for the business of medicine
Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center and the Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University offer the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program, a four-year program fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Our residents receive extensive exposure to obstetric and gynecologic patients, with focused rotations in obstetrics, minimally invasive gynecology, family planning and all OBGYN subspecialties.
Our curriculum offers electives during each year of training to allow residents an opportunity to tailor their learning experience. Additionally, residents rotate in ICU and emergency medicine. Further, we have preparation for practice/leadership rotation during year four to prepare our residents for the business of medicine.
We accept six (6) OBGYN residents per year.

Entorno de aprendizaje
The learning environment at Andrews Women’s Hospital and Baylor Scott & White All Saints centers around the resident’s education and well-being during their four years of training, all while preparing them for a successful and rewarding career. The faculty are all board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology — many fellowship-trained — and come from a diverse background of training and expertise to help guide the residents.
Residents’ growth is cultivated in a clinical environment that emphasizes evidence-based medicine and quality patient care as a part of the Baylor Scott & White healthcare system. Training and development occur in an academic environment centered on the TCU School of Medicine relationship. Residents are allowed to tailor their learning experiences toward a specific focal point of interest, with electives offered each year of the residency.
Residents will participate in a continuity clinic to gain hands-on experiences.
Conferences and didactics
Conferences and didactics are mandatory and will be completed each week for half a day on Thursday mornings. These conferences consist of lectures by generalist OBGYN faculty, subspecialists, and other medical professionals. Additionally, we will emphasize reverse classroom format, hands-on simulation and resident-led discussions.
Research opportunities
Residents are required to complete a quality improvement project and scholarly activity during residency. These will be supported by the resources of Baylor Scott & White Research Institute and the Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University. Residents are also assigned a faculty advisor/mentor during their intern year who can assist in these activities.
Specialty/subspecialty exposure
Residents receive specialty exposure beginning their intern year. Subspecialty rotations include Gynecologic Oncology, MFM, REI, UroGynecology and Family Planning. Residents receive one elective block per year and can use their elective to choose additional training in any of these specialties.
